I have lived in Latvia since 2003. My home state is Western Australia and I have lived for lengthy periods in Sydney, Canberra, Brisbane, Adelaide, Wuhan, Shanghai and Beijing. I had worked in the corporate sector prior to arriving in Latvia so these businesses are my first efforts within the small business sector. Whilst in Latvia I have worked for 3 years at the Stockholm School of Economics in Riga, Directing entrepreneurship activities in Latvia for the University.

My father was born in Latvia and emmigrated to Australia as a result of WWII. After living in China for 3 years I needed another international environment to prevent getting bored. Latvia was a nice discovery as I had not thought about it much or knew much about it. It is challenging living in Latvia as people are not so familiar with the idea of helping people they do not know. This strangles the country and restricts its ability to improve. There is no common vision for the future for Latvian's and they have not established themselves as a commonly understood people. .
